Mid-America Professional Picture Framing Association is a Chapter of the National PPFA.

We are a division of the Photo Marketing Association

The Mid America PPFA Chapter serves Missouri and most of Illinois. We are committed to bringing education and networking opportunities to picture framers with in our region.

Our History

The Professional Picture Frame Assoction was extablished in 1971 in California. The organization membership quickly spread throughout the United States, and In 1973, PPFA established a national office in Virginia. In 1986, the Certified Picture Framer (CPF) designation exam was established.

In 2001, the organization became affiliated with Photo Marketing Association by an overwhelming majority of membership votes.

In 2003, PPFA introduced the Master Certified Picture Framer (MCPF) designation.

The organization continues to grow, with members in several countries and chapters in the US, Canada and Australia.

PPFA Library

The Mid-America Chapter has quite an extensive library to help framers learn proper techniques and to prepare and study for the CPF and MCPF exams.
